The bloody days of Athens (December 1944 and January 1945) that opened the way for the Greek civil war, seen through the testimonies of the protagonists, the fighters, and the documents of the time.
In the second part of the tribute, "Time Machine" presents the historic battle at the Gendarmerie barracks in Makrygianni, the battle in Kaisariani which determined the end of the December events, as well as the battles in Mets and Kifisia.
Furthermore, through testimonies of people who lived through the December events, the show depicts the image of a ruined Athens, a city divided into two camps. Kolonaki was in the hands of the government forces and was derogatorily referred to as "Skobia" by the leftists. The ELAS trapped the Grand Bretagne Hotel, the British headquarters, with explosives. This operation almost cost Winston Churchill his life.
Finally, the episode highlights the topic of hostage-taking and the tragic outcome of the December events.
