The aim is to record and promote to the audience the richness, variety, and expressiveness of our musical heritage, through the local musical idioms as well as its modern potential in the urban environment of the big city.

The show "Salt of the Earth" and Lampros Liavas welcome the great folk singer, Kostas Tzimas. In the show, he recalls memories from his early experiences in his village, Romanos in Lakka, Souli, and refers to his long-term “tenure” in the edifying world of folk festivals, to the clubs and the recordings, collaborating with all the great names of folk music, both singers and instrumentalists. He remarks on the mutual relationship between the musician and the dancer and talks about the fine art of the melodic line embellishment by the singer. The program features a representative selection of songs from Epirus and Western Roumeli, in renditions that constitute the landmarks of the art of Greek folk song! Kostas Tzimas is accompanied by musicians: Petros Chalkias (clarinet), Kostas Kostageorgos (violin), Thanasis Vollas (lute), and Petros Papageorgiou (percussions). His honorary guests are Panagiotis Plastiras with his clarinet and Vasilis Kostas with his lute. Dancers from the Aetopetra Zitsas Association perform on the show (curated by: Nikos Zekis): Dimitris Galanis, Nikos Zekis, Katerina Zotou, Stavros Nikolaou, Lemonia Nousi, Ilektra Xerra, Lina Printzou, Vasiliki Siobola and Eleftheria Chalkiopoulou.
