Nikolas is a dedicated, high-minded literature teacher helping a schoolroom full of sullen, poverty-stricken youths in a tough, unruly Athens school program. His wife, a shrewd businesswoman, would do anything to protect the life she's built in her carefully curated role in a middle-class suburb—including lying to everyone about her financial and extramarital affairs. When Nikolas meets his favorite student's mother, he feels an immediate physical attraction to her, and they decide to spend a night together in a no-tell motel. While Nikolas wrestles with his conscience, he makes a surprising discovery: his student's mother was killed in an automobile accident long ago. But the shock goes even deeper when his wife is gunned down during a bungled break-in at their house and his daughter is taken to a hospital in critical condition. Suddenly his life is thrown into tumult as he tries to see if there's more to his wife's murder than there seems to be. Challenged by deception and treachery on all sides, Nikolas is desperate for justice and to find his family's assailants.

Episode 57
Police investigations are focused on the circumstances of Minas' escape, but Anna's suspicions focus specifically on Victoria. Nikolas tries to hide his anger and get information from Matthaios’ people. Anna pressures Victoria to give her information about Limnios and threatens her that she will tell Nikolas about what she knows against her. Stathis and Victoria move into Nikolas' house and all of them try to get used to the new cohabitation arrangement. Petros is suspicious of Matthaios and his possible involvement, because of the sketch the Police are drafting based on a witness’ testimony. Limnios asks something from Minas in return for the help he provided him with. He has to kill the Lieutenant.

Episode 58
The Police arrest the members of the loan shark network for which Manos worked. Nikolas discovers in every detail who were the people who had gotten his wife into trouble with exorbitant loans. Issaris investigates their involvement in the murders of the lawyer and the bank clerk. Nikolas comes into conflict with Sofia, who is worried about Stathis and Victoria's influence after his father's death. Lakis meets Matthaios, with whom he used to work together in the Navy. Christos flirts with Zoi, which creates tension in Nasia's relationship with Stathis, who believes that she encouraged it, even though she knew about his off standing with his ex-best friend. But what is the surprise that awaits Stathis?
