«People living alone in isolated places»
Episode 15
People who live alone isolated in remote, hidden, and inaccessible places, far away from civilization, are the subject of the research in the TV show "365 Moments" with Sofia Papaioannou.
The show visited four such places in Greece and presents the people, their history, and their location.
The Samaria Gorge, with its worldwide fame, crossed by thousands of tourists every summer, was not always a National Park but a place where many families used to live, almost secluded, in the heart of the gorge until a few decades ago.
In Anidro, a barren deserted island in the middle of the Aegean Sea, two young children were left alone in the 1950s to take care of their family's animals.
In Gyaros, the infamous barren island where thousands of people were exiled and imprisoned due to their political beliefs, some young members of the environmental organization WWF aim to transform it into a unique environmental park.
Lastly, in Dokos, an uninhabited islet in the Argosaronic Gulf, two women live alone despite the loneliness and isolation.
