Two permanently unemployed and penniless guys, Pavlakis and Markos, are trying on the one hand to satisfy their hunger and on the other hand to marry the girls they love, Zoi, a dancer, and her sister Nina.
Pavlakis pretends to be a doctor in order to propose to the wealthy Totó Moreti, but his impersonation is revealed, and so the two hopeless individuals are forced to flee.
Zoi tries to find them jobs, but they mess things up again and end up in a mental institution.
When the two sisters agree to perform in a venue in Istanbul, where they are abducted by the men of Sheikh Osman, Pavlakis and Markos, who have secretly followed them, pretend to be the sheikhs. They gain Osman's trust and manage to free the girls.
Afterward, they return to Greece with the girls, determined to finally marry them and settle down.
