An extremely cautious contractor, Kosmas, coincidentally meets an old friend whom he considers a lucky charm and even ends up financially supporting him. However, his friend is actually a swindler who has abandoned his wife and child and exploits the weaknesses of those around him. At some point, though, his deceptions are revealed.
