Come and discover - and rediscover - the first prefecture of the country. The most densely populated, yet perhaps the least mapped.
Attica is Greece in miniature. It has mountains, it has sea, beaches, and islands. It has lakes and waterfalls, important archaeological sites, Byzantine monuments, and unusual museums. It has towns, picturesque villages, and settlements, architectural landmarks, forts, castles, and towers. It has vineyards, impressive caves, wetlands, and marshes, a national forest.
It has everything we seek for a getaway - even for a two-day trip - and travel for hours away from the city to enjoy.
The TV show "Within Attica" suggests getaways - where else? - within Attica.
About 30 minutes from the center of Athens, there are places that create the feeling for the viewer-visitor that they are hours away from the city. Places that may be two steps away from their home or within a relatively short distance and they may not have realized they exist.
Easily accessible and with a minimal economic cost, a decisive factor in times of crisis, for a stroll, to satisfy the need for a change of scenery.
The episodes of the series, like puzzle pieces, form a mosaic through which well-known or hidden natural beauties of Attica are revealed.
