In 1968, Georgios Papandreou is having an operation in a central hospital in Athens. Kyveli, separated for years from the great love of her life, goes to see him. How did these two eminent figures of Greek history come together? One in politics, one in theater? It all begins a long time ago...

1968
The exiled Greek politicians of all factions mourn the death of Papandreou. The junta plants their own people to rally the crowd at the funeral. Foteini and Michalis have committed suicide under the weight of their guilt for the death of their son, the actor Krontiras. Panagoulis learns about the death of Papandreou. The family unites around Kyveli. The body of Papandreou is transferred to the small chapel of the Metropolitan Cathedral. Valentini meets with Vladimir. Olga, the wife of Junta official Fontas, goes to honor Papandreou at the Cathedral.

PAST
The Germans invade Athens. Papandreou puts himself at the service of the country with his message to Metaxas. Giorgakis has a fever again and Kotopouli is by Kyveli’s side. Some theaters still put on shows despite the Occupation. Papandreou is head of the secret printing press that prints proclamations against the Germans. He is arrested and held by the Security Department but is soon released. He leaves for the Middle East. Kyveli prepares Giorgakis for the Intelligence Service to also help them escape.
