Katerina Zacharopoulou, an artist herself, created the idea of "The Era of Images". She curates and presents it by researching the international art scene and the contemporary rendering of images, having with her competent and creative partners, for the best possible visual result.
"The Era of Images", the only show on contemporary art on Greek television celebrates 19 years of broadcast (2003-2022) through ERT Public Television.
During these years, the show has recorded many of the most important art events, in Greece and abroad, highlighting relationships and partnerships between our country and important museums, artists, exhibitions, biennale, as well as ways of perceiving the modern world.

In April 2022, the collector Dimitris Daskalopoulos announced that more than 350 works by 142 artists from his collection will be his donation to four (4) major international museums. 140 of the works in the collection are destined for the Greek National Museum of Contemporary Art, around 100 of them will be donated jointly to the Guggenheim and MCA Chicago and 110 to the Tate. The Era of Images records this significant moment and presents part of the donated works that were exhibited for a time at the old building of the Greek Public Tobacco Factory. Ioanna Vryzaki, director of the D. Daskalopoulos Collection, explains the passion of the collector, his goals from the beginning for the future of the collection and the importance of this great donation.
