In 1968, Georgios Papandreou is having an operation in a central hospital in Athens. Kyveli, separated for years from the great love of her life, goes to see him. How did these two eminent figures of Greek history come together? One in politics, one in theater? It all begins a long time ago...

1968
Kyveli's house, as well as the hospital ward where Papandreou is under treatment, are both guarded. Olga gets her final supplies from a pharmacy. Kyveli's granddaughter Valentini, married to shipowner Potamianos, meets Vladimir for the first time on a tour of the Acropolis. They find something common in their love of Mayakovsky. Panagoulis is tortured in his cell by the captain. Olga argues with Fontas about Horn.

THE PAST
Venizelos hosts a luncheon for the new government, of which Papandreou is also a member. Kyveli sits next to him and Papandreou is jealous of their intimacy. Papandreou expresses his will to open the National Theatre. Neither Kyveli nor Kotopouli agree to participate and for the first time join forces. They stage a play together. Kyveli has an accident with her car while on tour in Egypt. Papandreou asks her to stop touring and stay at home. Kyveli is confronted with the first signs of Papandreou's infidelity.
