"Plaka - the neighborhood of the Gods"
Episode 11
Plaka is the oldest neighborhood of Athens and was associated with the first years of the city as a capital. It is a residential "treasure" with a special historical significance that was preserved through time.
Uphill streets, old houses, historical churches, and quaint squares compose a delightful scenery and take you back to old times, nostalgic times, when life was more humane, and simpler.
Plaka has passed through antiquity, the Byzantine and Ottoman periods and has reached the present day with its colors remaining vivid, beautiful and nostalgic, under the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis.
