"Where the Possible Flows"
Episode 8
There’s an Athens we don’t have to imagine. It’s still here. Still breathing. Out where the reeds sway, where herons rise, where pistachio trees grow strong—there, the city didn’t win. The river still runs. The streams are not memories. They are alive, right now.
In the second part of his walk with the waters of Athens, Yiannis Darras listens to the ones who live beside the flow—and stand up for it. Not from dreams, but from knowing. There are scientists. Elders. Neighbors. Young ones who play by the water, learn from it, dream with it. That world—the one that holds life close—it’s still here. Because this path, whether it’s under our feet or out in the open, is one. And it’s ours. Some don’t look back to chase what’s gone. They’re planting something better. More human. More whole. The river was never our enemy. We were the ones who turned against it.
