The much-loved ERT show, the only one on Greek TV dedicated solely to parenthood, is stepping into a new chapter.
After being hosted by Zoi Kronaki and Jenny Theona with great success, "Moms" will now feature a different host in each episode.
A well-known mom from the world of arts, television, or sports will take the reins each time and present the show in her own unique style.
Today:
"Christina Kontova in conversation with Sissy Christidou, Frosso Foteinaki, Christos Chatziioannou, and Eleni Nenna Okeke"
Episode 22
Fashion designer and entrepreneur Christina Kontova takes on the role of host in a special episode of the show "Mama-des", where she shares her own unique journey into motherhood—from the moment she first laid eyes on Ada in Uganda and instantly knew she was her daughter, to their life together today.
Her first guest is her close friend and Ada’s godmother, Sissy Christidou. They talk about the everyday challenges of single motherhood, Sissy’s two sons, whether she could see herself living with a partner again, and how she handled her divorce and the legal battle with her ex-husband.
Next, Christina welcomes psychologist Frosso Foteinaki. Together, they explore a topic that concerns many single mothers after divorce: how to re-enter the world of dating and flirtation without guilt or self-doubt.
She then sits down with journalist Christos Chatziioannou to discuss his relationship with his wife, who had a child from a previous marriage. They reflect on how they adjusted to that new reality, the child they later had together, and the blended family they’ve built.
Finally, Christina is joined by psychologist and psychotherapist Eleni Nenna Okeke, who shares her personal story as an Afro-Greek woman—her childhood in Thessaloniki, and the discrimination she faced because of her identity. The conversation also delves into the topics she actively engages with: political correctness and the language we use when talking about the Black community and Black adopted children.
