Elektra is an ordinary woman, with no karmic connection to the tragic weight of her name. The most important relationship in her life is the one she shares with Petros. However, he announces their breakup on her birthday, through a message on the answering machine, just as her friends are preparing a surprise party.

Her group of friends listens to the message while Elektra is away, and they decide to hide the truth from her in light of the birthday celebration.
