After the economic collapse of his business, Giorgos Alexiou decides to commit suicide. The wife of his cousin, Rosa, who has an interest in his death, hires a detective to monitor him, fearing he might change his mind. Unfortunately for her, his employee, Minas, becomes his guardian angel, preventing him from taking that fateful step at the last moment. To watch over him more closely, Minas takes him to his own home.
