Action movie. Production: Mexico, USA. Gloria Fuentes is a Latina makeup artist from Los Angeles, who travels to Tijuana, Mexico to visit her best friend. Her goal is to help her friend steal the spotlight to stand out in the Miss Bala beauty pageant. However, she unwittingly gets caught in the crossfire of a Mexican cartel that wants to assassinate the corrupt police chief and kidnaps her. Meanwhile, her friend goes missing… Will Gloria manage to discover the strength within herself and save her friend's life, as well as her own? "Miss Bala" is a remake, based on the eponymous 2011 film by Gerardo Naranjo, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
