Series about the Greek music tradition.
The aim is to record and promote to the audience the richness, variety, and expressiveness of our musical heritage, through the local musical idioms as well as its modern potential in the urban environment of the big city.

Lambros Liavas and "Salt of the Earth" present a very special musical journey, following the route of the legendary Orient Express from Istanbul to Paris!
The Orient Express was the first intercontinental train in Europe, covering the 2,740 km journey from Paris (Gare de l’Est) to Istanbul (Sirkeci Station), with stops in Strasbourg, Munich, Vienna, Budapest, and Bucharest. It operated for nearly a century, from 1883 to 1977, and became synonymous with travel luxury.
Thus, based on this route of the Orient Express that bridged the West with the East, the show features many different musical and dance pieces: Politika hasapika and amanedes, Gypsy dances, Viennese waltzes, songs by Edith Piaf, and interwar tangos!
The "conductor" of this enchanting musical journey is the exceptional violin virtuoso Kyriakos Gouventas. Along with him is an orchestra of his elite students, under the title "Violinists on the Roof of the World"! The musicians are: Alexandros Archontis, Raphael Vlastaris, Vaggelis Votteas, Kostas Kokkaliaris, Nikos Milas, and Despina Sirigou.

Also participating are the musicians: Dimos Voyioukas (accordion), Giannis Tsertos (piano), and Giannis Plagiannakos (double bass).

The singers are: Giannis Niarchos, Evi Mazi, Rhodi Tomourtzou-Kiul, and Despina Sirigou.

Members of the Folklore Dance Group "Choropaideia" (curated by Vasilis Karkis and Maria Ziaka) perform the dances. Tango is danced by Kostas Doukas and Antigoni Pavlou.
