The family, the music, the contacts, the influences, the transactions, the confessions, and the narratives about the family’s life and action, not only by family members but also by third parties. And finally a small tribute to the beneficial effect on cohesion and psychology, through the ritual of musical get-togethers.

Cultural identities and distinctiveness which have defined Greek history and identify a timeless continuity. Samothrace is one of them! Loans and reborrowing bridge two worlds! The music and the musicians of the island were noted in 1900 by the medical philosopher and scholar Nikolaos Fardys. The musical tradition of the island is handed down and observed live through the musical families. The Tiganourias musical family is a family known on the island since 1850. Violins, laouto, and songs are passed down from generation to generation and reach the branch called ZOE TIGANOURIA. A well-known musician-composer and accordion soloist in Greece and abroad with renowned and demanding collaborations. With Zoe at the center, the large Tiganourias family gathers in its birthplace, Samothrace, and narrates the course of at least four musical generations.
