Today: "Cretan Muslims - The Other Exchangeables" [With English subtitles]
Episode 6

Embarking on a poignant and historic journey, the show visits the Cretans in Aivali and Moschonisi, on the Asia Minor coast opposite Lesvos. Their descendants still speak the Cretan dialect as if time has stood still since 1923. The journey takes us inside the beautiful, once-Greek houses and introduces us to the people who live there today, preserving the memory of their beloved Crete. Through human stories, the show connects the villages, olive groves and orange orchards of Rethymno and Chania with the narrow streets and olive groves of Moschonisi, all accompanied by the evocative sounds of mantinades and the voice of Xylouris. A deeply moving exploration of history from a different perspective.
