The show presents older and younger musicians involved in the traditional music of Greece, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean on an artistic and research level. Contemporary, established, and emerging musicians are featured, whose work is deeply influenced by traditional music.

The goal of the show is to highlight the work of musicians who, over the past 20 years, have given a different, new dimension to the musical tradition. Their approach, knowledge, and education differ significantly from earlier generations of musicians.

Xanthippi Karathanasi is widely known throughout Greece as "The Voice of Macedonia."
She chooses to live in Nea Moudania, away from the dictates of the star system, consistently and devotedly serving the Greek style of singing.
Today, she is ranked among the greatest voices in the country. In this episode of the program "Contemporary Traditional Musicians," we enjoy her unfolding her love for Macedonian songs.
