Comedy, produced in 1965.
Thalia, the daughter of the frugal grocer Pythagoras, is in love with Petros and refuses to marry the foolish Lakis, the son of the nouveau riche Kyra-Katina, whom her father wants her to marry.
The arrival of her uncle and older sister from America completely changes the situation, as the newcomers are open-minded people who see things from a different perspective.
With their unwavering support, Thalia will finally marry Petros, and her brother, Fannis, will marry the Maniot woman he has loved for a long time but dared not confess to their authoritarian father.
As for Lakis, he too will become part of the family, marrying the younger daughter of Pythagoras.
