Social-drama film, produced in 1958.

A laterna (Greek barrel piano) player loses his wife due to complications during childbirth. Devastated by the event, he refuses to raise their child and gives it to another family to raise. The girl grows up in comfort, and her true father feels ashamed to meet her, until she falls in love with a poor musician and her adoptive parents refuse to accept their bond. Only her biological father will help her, sacrificing his lantern and his health, so that the two young lovers can live their love.
