«The Abandonment of Greek Forests» [With English subtitles]
Episode 1
During this summer, the most extensive forest wildfires of the last several years burned several thousands of acres of Greek nature. In Evros, the fire that burned the prefecture for 17 days dealt an irreparable blow to the area from an environmental, economic, and social standpoint.
The show visited the vast burned areas of Evros and recorded stories of beekeepers and livestock farmers who lost their beehives and animals to the fire.
It also traveled to the isolated Agrafa in Evrytania with its unique nature, where the nomadic herders, the people who have lived off it for centuries, are now almost extinct.
