Living on the Edge is a documentary series that highlights contemporary Greeks who live “on the edge”: people living in extreme conditions, unusual ones, living and working on the edge - in the heights, in the depths, in solitude.
Each episode opens up horizons for viewers to get to know Greece and the possibilities that exist where others see only difficulties. Focusing on the human being, Kalliopi attempts to coexist and work alongside people who live on the "edge", traveling everywhere, from the heights to the depths.
The show focuses on human strength, the ability to survive in incompatible environments, and to achieve goals inspired by higher ideals.

Our next stop is Olympus, this mythical, wild, and at the same time beautiful mountain. Starting from Thessaloniki and after a 6-hour journey (13.5 km and an altitude difference of 1,600m) Kalliopi reaches the Plateau of Muses. She will work alongside the “refuge people”, at 2,697m in the highest inhabited building in the Balkans, at the "Giosos Apostolidis" refuge. Every year on July 19 and 20, climbers, hikers, and simple believers go up to the Plateau for the pilgrimage at the highest chapel in the Balkans, on the peak of Profitis Ilias.
With Lazaros and his team, Kalliopi experiences firsthand what it's like to take care of so many people in a place where only mules bring supplies, 6 hours away from the nearest store, in an environment where temperatures often drop to 0 degrees in the heart of summer.
These are the people who live on the edge, on mount Olympus, living on the peaks and caring for the worshipers of this mythical mountain.
