We examine the history, importance and value of herbs in modern times but also to the folk tradition, either lost or forgotten, that accompanies them; wandering in the rich Greek nature, we follow a search of people related to it and maintain a life relationship with herbs.

Beginning from the wisdom of ancient Greek medicine, Valia travels to Amarantos, a remote village of Epirus.

There she discovers the only steam-therapy center of its kind in Europe — a place that not only offers healing properties, but also creates a unique microclimate in the region.

Guided by Lefteris, a true “plant detective,” she learns about the rare species that grow beneath the climbing cliffs and within the rising vapors that breathe from the depths of the earth.
