Fifteen people talk in front of the camera about a very personal part of their lives, an experience, a life-changing event, a decision that determined their attitude towards the world.

As a teenager, Rokos wanted to become a musician, but painting ultimately won him over. His connection to music, however, has remained organic — and to this day, it continues to shape his art.

In the 1990s, he was captivated by the music and persona of Nick Cave. By chance, he eventually met his favorite artist in person, an encounter that inspired him to translate Cave’s music into images.

Thus was born a major body of work titled “Stefanos Rokos: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ No More Shall We Part, 14 paintings 17 years later” — and with it, a friendship and mutual admiration that continue to this day.
