The most melodic “Music Box” opens on ERT, hosted by Nikos Portokaloglou and Rena Morfi.

Guests from diverse musical backgrounds reveal the playlist of their lives through unexpected interviews.

The idea for this weekly show, which is not based on any foreign format but was inspired by Nikos Portokaloglou’s musical performance Juke Box, is built around the motto “Music brings people together.” Each episode brings together different singers or singer-songwriters in the studio, where – through surprise questions and musical games – they share both well-known and lesser-known moments from their personal and professional lives, while performing songs no one would have imagined them singing.

At the same time, the show gives a platform to young artists, who appear in front of established musicians to present their own songs. Special segments are also dedicated to all genres of music, to Greek folk tradition, to cinema, to street artists, and to personalities who have left their mark on the history of Greek music.

“Music Box” opens on ERT to welcome artists we don’t often see on television – artists from different generations and musical worlds – who surprise us with unexpected performances, coming together for the first time in response to the invitation of ERT, Nikos Portokaloglou, and Rena Morfi, who also take part in the musical surprises.

Nikos Portokaloglou and Rena Morfi welcome a great lyrical performer with an international career, Giorgos Perris, an actor who has been making albums and performing with his band for ten years, Giorgos Papageorgiou from Polkar and a new talented performer, Ioanna Kavroulaki.

The show invites us to a musical performance with songs by Manos Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis, Mimis Plessas, Evanthia Reboutsika, Barbara Streisand, Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper, Phill Collins and others.
