Weekly journalistic travel show produced by ERT3.
The show “24 Hours in Greece” is a “Journey into the lives of Others, the real people who live next to us, in the cities, villages and islands of Greece. Along with them, we discover a new world, each time, as we experience the beauty of each place, its incredible special character and diversity. In our travels, we meet Greeks and foreigners who live there and see life through their own eyes, discuss their joys, hopes and problems in this great adventure that we call Life and seek, with a wholly optimistic perspective, their answers to the challenges of the times.
Today:
Lefkada
Episode 1
On the island of poets, which some also call a mainland island, since it is connected to mainland Greece by a floating bridge, we will get to know its lagoon — an important wetland that hosts many species of fauna and flora. We will cook and try the delicious Eglouvi lentils, wander through its streets with motorcyclists, visit the islet of Sikelianos and Valaoritis, meet the man who used to eat fish with Onassis, and enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets, while the Japanese ambassador recites poems by the national poet of Japan, who was born on this beautiful island.
