"Islands on the Edge" is a documentary series by ERT3 that portrays the life of a few inhabitants on small outlying islands. Through a cinematic view, the experiences of the people, their stories, the past, the present, and the future of these remote places are captured. Each episode is a journey, a collection of images, faces, and moments of everyday life. An attempt to understand a different world, a small isolated land surrounded by sea.

Episode 2
Iraklia is the largest of the islands of the Small Cyclades but again it is tiny.
Its permanent residents hardly reach 90 people. You can easily meet them gathered in places such as Georgia’s café-grocery store, the church, or the port every time Skopelitis boat comes.
Agrantis is the president of the community. His wife Chrysoula goes back and forth to Naxos. Giorgos, a former fisherman, knows every nook and corner of the island where prehistoric rock paintings are located.
Vangelis undertakes the construction on an island where finding labor is hard.
In Panagia, the second village of Iraklia, Mr. Giorgos, tied to the earth, still sows fava beans.
All of them and even so many live in Iraklia, this small island that has decided to dynamically enter the tourist map of Greece.
