"Nasos Vagenas"
One of the most important representatives of the poetic generation of the 1970s speaks on "Behind the Curtain" about his poetry.
Verses by Nasos Vagenas are heard about Kalvos, Cavafy, Solomos, Seferis, Byron, and Borges, which reveal a deep knowledge of their work and are, to some extent, built with words and phrases that reference their writings.
Poems about love, death, and the moon — consistent themes in Nasos Vagenas's poetry — are also read and commented on. Revealing, too, is the commentary on poems referring to Greece in the early years of the post-dictatorship period (metapolitefsi). In contrast to the general optimism prevailing at the time, Vagenas, in a poetic and allegorical way, expressed concern about the hardships that would follow.
