A pastry chef, a seamstress and her assistant, a watchmaker with his son, the president of the Hellenic IT Museum, the founder of the Video Games Museum, and a guide at the Benaki Toy Museum are our storytellers, leading us to a time when taste, moments, timekeeping, fun, and play held different meanings.
It was a time when paste referred to a sweet treat, when mothers had their clothes custom-sewn at seamstress shops, and the purchase of a watch symbolized prestige and recognition. Tech enthusiasts tested their skills on a Spectrum or Commodore computer, while boys—and occasionally girls—gathered in video arcades to enjoy themselves.
