The second season of “The Beach” takes us to Crete in 1975, a time when Greece was gradually moving beyond the darkness of the junta and democracy was struggling to find its footing in the reconstructed Greek state. In the carved rocks of Matala, old and new characters coexist, each searching for their identity in a rapidly changing world.

Secrets, Love, and Revenge
At the same time, a dark story from the German occupation period resurfaces, threatening once again to haunt the present. This is a story that everyone knew, but very consciously chose to forget, and those who lived through it and survived will sooner or later seek revenge.

Pavlos’ (Dimitris Kitsos) return to his ancestral land and his encounter with Iphigenia (Afroditi Liantou) will bring to light a forbidden yet fervent love. Pavlos tries to take control, while Iphigenia strives to maintain it. It seems that one cannot succeed without the other failing.

Fani meets with the doctor to hand over the agreed payment—but he informs her that someone else has already covered the amount on her behalf. Meanwhile, Sifis tries to convince Christina to go through with the illicit deal they arranged with her blackmailer. Dionysis meets with Papadourakis to finalize the transfer of the ownership share, giving him exactly what he demanded. But Stratos issues a warning about the consequences that may follow. Kolitsidakis exhumes the Hermit from his resting place, while later, Father Nikolas testifies and calls for Daskalogiannis to receive a proper burial. Iphigenia remains by Christos’ side, as he reluctantly comes to terms with the fact that he won’t be able to leave the hotel to his children, as he had once hoped. At Archontakis' place, Nikolina shares a meal with the men of the family. The dinner becomes a turning point, as Dionysis delivers major announcements about his business—and his upcoming marriage to Mary.
