Christina Psarra
Christina Psarra is the General Director of the Greek Department of Médecins sans Frontières. She has served as the head of humanitarian programmes and recently as the Operational Research Unit Coordinator of Médecins Sans Frontières, based in Brussels. She has many years of academic and professional experience, as she has coordinated and led missions in emergency situations in southeastern African countries, but also in Egypt, Ukraine, Turkey and Greece. During the period 2015-2016, she coordinated search and rescue operations in the Aegean – in Lesvos – and in the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of Libya. Throughout her career she has experienced moments that have made her the person she is today. A story in Malawi changed her life.
