Crete, 1975

The second season of “The Beach” takes us to Crete in 1975, a time when Greece was gradually moving beyond the darkness of the junta and democracy was struggling to find its footing in the reconstructed Greek state. In the carved rocks of Matala, old and new characters coexist, each searching for their identity in a rapidly changing world.

Secrets, Love, and Revenge
At the same time, a dark story from the German occupation period resurfaces, threatening once again to haunt the present. This is a story that everyone knew, but very consciously chose to forget, and those who lived through it and survived will sooner or later seek revenge.

Pavlos’ (Dimitris Kitsos) return to his ancestral land and his encounter with Iphigenia (Afroditi Liantou) will bring to light a forbidden yet fervent love. Pavlos tries to take control, while Iphigenia strives to maintain it. It seems that one cannot succeed without the other failing.

Berta speaks with Manolis and Kostas about the tense encounter between Arvanitakis' men and the German in the wilderness. Meanwhile, Karapanos' plan to use Judith as bait is set in motion, with word of the escape gradually spreading, eventually reaching Johan. Kolitsidakis takes charge of Manolis' protection, but things spiral out of control, putting Manolis in danger.
At the hotel, Iphigenia is shocked by the situation Fani is in, while Christos decides it’s time to make Dionysis pay for what he did to his wife. Back at home, Dionysis tries to learn from Dimitros about the villain and the mysterious room, but Pavlos storms in, angrily interrupting the conversation and demanding an explanation for the attempted drowning.
Nikolina visits Margarita’s grave and apologizes for her actions. Father Nikolas approaches her, and she agrees to talk to him about her life.
