"Vicky Betsou"
Episode 4
Vicky Betsou, Professor at the Athens School of Fine Arts, talks about her recent work module entitled "Splitting Mechanism", which essentially consists of four works: a sculptural installation, two video installations and a video projection. It is a very personal module of work, which attempts to place fragments of a lasting rupture story and to narrate the collapse of all that we see today that is collapsing. In her artistic quest, she came to know the work of the great artist, Jannis Kounelis, for the first time, when she saw his works in their natural space on a ship in Piraeus, where space plays an important role, and also with Chantal Akerman, who created long experimental films, exponential of contemplative cinema.
