A series of half-hour shows produced by ERT for 2024-2025.

The idea, as the title of the show suggests, aims to present all the links in the production chain of a product, from the stage of seed selection to the final product that will be placed on the retail shelf.

The orientation is to highlight the primary sector and the processing industry, which deals with agricultural and livestock products throughout the Greek territory as much as possible.
The goal of the show is to give the viewer-consumer the opportunity to learn about these products through the personal stories of all those involved in the processes of production, processing, packaging, and marketing.
The impetus for the proposal to implement the show was the realization that the overwhelming majority of us consume a variety of products without knowing how they are produced, what nutritional benefits they offer, and how they are preserved before consumption.

Today: Strawberry

For those in the fruit industry in Greece, the region between Achaia and Ilia, in the northwestern Peloponnese, is renowned for its greenhouse strawberries.
In nearly 22,500 acres of greenhouses, over 120 million plants are cultivated each year, producing more than 100,000 tons of this delicious product. In fact, 90% to 95% of these strawberries are exported to markets in Central Europe, Scandinavia, and the Balkans, contributing nearly 200 million euros annually to the local economy.
The area’s greenhouses were visited by the show "Farm-Fresh, Straight to Your Shelf," where the team learned from farmers about planting times, popular strawberry varieties, how the caps are kept, cultivation practices, the duration of the harvest, and how they manage the significant challenge of labor shortages.
After the trucks were loaded, we followed them to one of the many sorting and packaging plants that have sprung up in the region in recent years. Company executives took us through every step of the process, explaining how the strawberries are handled from harvest to packaging in the familiar plastic cups we all know and love. They also shared the safety and hygiene measures in place to ensure the product’s quality.
Before we left, we also received some helpful tips on how to select and store strawberries until it's time to enjoy them.
