“Boulouki” is touring in Greece to save a neglected piece of our cultural heritage. Giannis Darras meets the team of young architects and engineers who identify, record and study the knowledge of communities, groups and individuals about traditional building techniques and materials. He talks with scientists and masters who highlight this knowledge and train young people through laboratories and comprehensive construction projects organized in collaboration with local communities. They are the continuers of the famous Epirotic masters of stone who organized into groups of work, the famous “Boulouki”, which would travel all over Greece, but also every corner of the Balkans and were removing the stones to built churches, mosques, waterways and bridges.
