Yiannis, a teacher from the villages of Pelion, collects and organizes stories from the past. Starting with a photograph, he unravels tales of people from the previous century who experienced the turbulent history of the region, from the world wars to the Civil War. Through scattered fragments of memory, a new vision for the future of the area emerges.

Yiannis takes Zeti to meet Demos. He and his family are the only remaining inhabitants of the small village called Biree. Demos works as a gymnastics teacher at a village near by while his wife is a nurse in the nearest city. Demos will share the history of a village he now considers entirely his own and will describe how he became the gatekeeper of the local memory. Finally, he discusses the meaning of life and what it means to have it all.
