A series of 12 original half-hour documentaries, presenting traditional arts and techniques in the 21st century, filmed in various parts of Greece. The young protagonist Christos Zacharof travels from Corfu and Paramythia to Lesvos and Patmos, Geraki, Laconia and Lagkadia, Arcadia, to Alexandroupoli and the villages in the Rhodope mountains, places where economically viable traditional professions are still practiced, most of which are included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage.
Christos attempts to learn the secrets of marble craftsmanship, wooden shipbuilding, silversmithing, or knitting in the places where they are practiced, working alongside the craftsmen. Along with Christos, the viewer of the documentary also experiences the struggle, difficulties, and peculiarities of each art!

The weaving art on the upright loom has its roots in ancient Greece and is still practiced today in Geraki, Laconia by persistent weavers, who even managed to include the element in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. At the same time, they operate an experimental structure of weaving art, where they teach women of all ages from all over Greece the art of the upright loom. In the new episode of Meet the Craftsmen, Christos tries to discover among the threads of the looms the secrets of these persistent weavers, he tries to make a rug or, at least a purse, to learn some things about the weaving art, but most importantly, to detect what keeps the tradition alive in this place to this day. Together with Christos, the viewer will be initiated into the secrets of weaving on the upright loom, will recognize the relationship of weaving art with the development of the village and women’s position in it, and will be amazed at the way new and old weavers face the challenges of the new era.
