A series of 12 original half-hour documentaries, presenting traditional arts and techniques in the 21st century, filmed in various parts of Greece. The young protagonist Christos Zacharof travels from Corfu and Paramythia to Lesvos and Patmos, Geraki, Laconia and Lagkadia, Arcadia, to Alexandroupoli and the villages in the Rhodope mountains, places where economically viable traditional professions are still practiced, most of which are included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage.
Christos attempts to learn the secrets of marble craftsmanship, wooden shipbuilding, silversmithing, or knitting in the places where they are practiced, working alongside the craftsmen. Along with Christos, the viewer of the documentary also experiences the struggle, difficulties, and peculiarities of each art!

Wooden shipbuilding in the Aegean is an art almost as old as the sea that welcomes its works. It is an art that is mainly practiced on islands that have rich and good timber.
Samos, with its black pine forests, has always been one of these islands, which is why it was chosen for the creation of the Museum of Shipbuilding Art.
In this episode of Meet the Craftsmen, Christos is introduced to the secrets of wooden shipbuilding by old and young craftsmen, learns about the construction of the frames, the different ways in which wood is bent to get the shape the shipbuilder wants, helps in the caulking of a boat and watches the launching of a repaired ship. Together with Christos, the viewer will feel the anticipation of the craftsmen when the hull rolls on the docking blocks to fall into the sea, will experience the challenge of the shipbuilder when he is called to design his next boat in the shipbuilding hall and, most importantly, will be connected with the wooden shipbuilding tradition of Greece that stands firm to this day.
