A series of hour-long episodes produced in 2023-24, "Wild Greece" is an exciting journey featuring two friends, Ilias and Grigoris, who guide us through the unexplored paths of Greece's wild nature.
Ilias, with his extensive scientific knowledge, and Grigoris, with his passion for exploration, bring images and experiences to our screens that are largely unknown to the general public. As they traverse inaccessible areas, mountains, rivers, and forests, viewers enjoy rare and stunning visuals of the natural environment.
What makes "Wild Greece" special is its blend of entertainment and education. The viewer becomes part of the journey, gaining knowledge that is often rare and unknown, while also encountering wildlife that may be close to us, yet we know little about.
The aim of the show is to raise awareness among the audience through entertainment and knowledge, especially during a critical time for the ecosystems of our planet.

Ilias and Grigoris visit the border region of Evros to explore the Dadia-Lefkimi-Soufli Forest National Park, one of Greece's most important protected areas. An an integral part of the National Park and its rich biodiversity, the Black Vulture uses the area as its last refuge for nesting in the entire Balkans. However, their investigation is abruptly interrupted by an unpleasant surprise. The beautiful, vibrant landscape is abruptly shattered by a vast expanse of charred earth left in the wake of the August 2023 wildfire. The images are harsh to watch. Will the forest be able to regenerate and return to its former state? Can the Black Vulture and other iconic species survive? Who is ultimately to blame for the wildfires? The protagonists of Wild Greece seek to answer all these questions as they traverse a haunting landscape of complete devastation.
