Episode 5
Two unknown stories from World War I, which took place on two Greek islands and connected them with distant nations, are presented in the show "365 Moments" with Sofia Papaioannou.
Within the tragedy of wars, there are powerful situations and events that bring people and nations together. World War I was one of the bloodiest in history, yet some nations united forever during this war, and new nations were born from tragedy.
The show presents two stories from the Ionian Sea and Corfu, and from the North Aegean and the island of Lemnos. These are stories that forever linked Greece and the Greeks with other nations in the great distant war, and remain alive today to remind us of the value of solidarity and freedom, as well as the unjust loss of young lives.
