"Islands on the Edge" is a documentary series by ERT3 that portrays the life of a few inhabitants on small outlying islands. Through a cinematic view, the experiences of the people, their stories, the past, the present, and the future of these remote places are captured. Each episode is a journey, a collection of images, faces, and moments of everyday life. An attempt to understand a different world, a small isolated land surrounded by sea.

"Telendos" [With English subtitles]
Episode 1
Telendos, a small island west of Kalymnos, eighteen miles from Turkey. Its name suggests the end, the end of a long strip of land. Although small, Telendos proves to be resistant to time, with few but loyal inhabitants.
Panagiotis, the teacher of the island, Pantelis with his boat, Savvas, the only child of the island, Maria, his mother who still weaves on the loom, Mr. Charalampos, Savvas' grandfather who got the divers’ disease very young.
Through their stories, we learn that, although life in Telendos is not easy, in the end, they are exactly where they want to be.
