A series of hour-long episodes produced in 2023-24, "Wild Greece" is an exciting journey featuring two friends, Ilias and Grigoris, who guide us through the unexplored paths of Greece's wild nature.
Ilias, with his extensive scientific knowledge, and Grigoris, with his passion for exploration, bring images and experiences to our screens that are largely unknown to the general public. As they traverse inaccessible areas, mountains, rivers, and forests, viewers enjoy rare and stunning visuals of the natural environment.
What makes "Wild Greece" special is its blend of entertainment and education. The viewer becomes part of the journey, gaining knowledge that is often rare and unknown, while also encountering wildlife that may be close to us, yet we know little about.
The aim of the show is to raise awareness among the audience through entertainment and knowledge, especially during a critical time for the ecosystems of our planet.

West Crete gave Ilias and Grigoris a warm welcome with some wild weather—cold, wind, and hail! The harsh conditions force them to change their plans and abandon the idea of reaching the top of the White Mountains. During their night hike from Anopolis to Omalos, they pause to observe an earthworm a crawling subterranean creature beneficial to the environment—making its way across the tarmac. The next morning begins with coffee and conversation by the wood stove at the Xyloskalos forestry station. They discuss the legendary "ghost" of the Cretan countryside, the Fourogatos. Their journey then takes them into the dramatic Samaria Gorge, where they hike to the forestry station in the abandoned village of Samaria. Here, they spend the night and have the rare opportunity to observe the endemic Cretan goat, the Capra aegagrus creticus, up close. The final leg of their journey involves traversing the rest of the stunning gorge to Agia Roumeli. From there, they brave rough seas to reach Sougia by boat, completing their adventure.
