A beautiful and well-fed woman, Eva, the former wife of Fountas, is now married to the neighborhood's souvlaki vendor, Menelaos, who makes her life difficult with his unbearable jealousy.

As men gaze at her with affection, so does Menelaus's jealousy grow, a jealousy that is fueled by the spiteful Fontas.

Through an innocent prank played by the neighbors, Menelaus is convinced that Eva is cheating on him.

He considers suicide, but it turns out that Eva had merely allowed a student to meet with his girlfriend at their house.

The misunderstanding is cleared up, and Menelaus promises never to be jealous again. Meanwhile, Fontas is preparing for a second marriage to a beautiful woman who is deeply in love with him.
