The aim is to record and promote to the audience the richness, variety, and expressiveness of our musical heritage, through the local musical idioms as well as its modern potential in the urban environment of the big city.

"The Salt of the Earth" and Lambros Liavas invite us on a captivating musical journey between East and West.

Our "guide" is one of the most significant contemporary female voices in traditional Greek music, Katerina Papadopoulou, along with two exceptional ensembles she collaborates with: "Notio Toxo" and "Anastatica Project." Together, they take us through Cyprus, the Dodecanese, Crete, Ikaria, Thrace, Macedonia, Pontus, Minor Asia, and Cappadocia, culminating in the Greek-speaking villages of Southern Italy!

This fascinating tour features melodies and songs in modern renditions by outstanding virtuoso musicians, always with knowledge and respect for the primary sources of tradition!
