The show’s trip continue in Crete, on an island inexhaustible in images, flavors, melodies, legends and folk traditions, starting from the unique Heraklion, and green Lasithi. At the outskirts of Heraklion, at the foot of Psiloritis mountain, Jerome arrives to Astyraki in the province of Malevizi, where he learns the secrets of forged bells, which are an essential tool of shepherds and have a special place in Cretan tradition. In Tsoutsouros, in southern Crete, Jerome undertakes to renew the unique aloe plantation on the island, while in Haraso, a green village of the Municipality of Hersonissos, he discovers the treasures of Cretan land, but also of Cretan cuisine, which is part of the island’s culture. In beautiful Neapolis, which was the capital of Lasithi in the past, Jerome is acquainted with another folk art linked to Cretan tradition, the “ganotis” (kalai procedure for brass & copper utensils). The tour of Lasithi, full of alternatives, ends on the uninhabited island located in the famous Elounda Gulf and has countless stories to tell, in Calydona or Spinalonga.
