Four bankrupt undertakers organize a "scam" in order to get rid of their "temporary" profession. With the expectation of a hefty reward, they fulfill the last wish of a Greek man living abroad, who requests in his will to be buried in a village in Boeotia, after his coffin is transported on foot to that place.

The transportation turns into an unexpected journey of self-discovery for the four participants.
