On the occasion of UN World Days, ERT presents the documentary series "One Day for the whole World". Twelve documentaries based on human stories and experiences recounting a variety of social issues on human rights, society and the environment. Each episode focuses on personal stories of everyday people, whose emotional involvement and experiences on each World Day theme highlight its essence, which is acceptance, information and ultimately the participation of citizens in social issues.

Not only Alzheimer's patients carry the health problem. Their families and loved ones do too. All those who stand by their side, simply because it never crosses their minds to do otherwise. Love takes on new boundaries, relationships are redefined, and caregiving means so much more.

Daily life shows that nothing is taken for granted anymore. Everything is tested again.

Supporting their loved ones, caregivers become inventive, and flexible, and find ways to maintain their personal balance and draw strength to cope with the heavy burden that has befallen them.

The episode pays tribute to the people suffering from the disease, as well as their caregivers, by closely observing the daily lives of two families.

Evangelia and Matina are by their mother's side, Mrs. Youla, who now needs 24-hour care. At the same time, Mrs. Marianthi, a dynamic woman, tries to incorporate her husband Christos' illness into a life with as few losses as possible.

Through the documentary, different dimensions of the disease are highlighted, as well as ways in which caregivers cope with it.
