Nikolas is a dedicated, high-minded literature teacher helping a schoolroom full of sullen, poverty-stricken youths in a tough, unruly Athens school program. His wife, a shrewd businesswoman, would do anything to protect the life she's built in her carefully curated role in a middle-class suburb—including lying to everyone about her financial and extramarital affairs. When Nikolas meets his favorite student's mother, he feels an immediate physical attraction to her, and they decide to spend a night together in a no-tell motel. While Nikolas wrestles with his conscience, he makes a surprising discovery: his student's mother was killed in an automobile accident long ago. But the shock goes even deeper when his wife is gunned down during a bungled break-in at their house and his daughter is taken to a hospital in critical condition. Suddenly his life is thrown into tumult as he tries to see if there's more to his wife's murder than there seems to be. Challenged by deception and treachery on all sides, Nikolas is desperate for justice and to find his family's assailants.

Episode 59
Minas is stalking Stathis. Nikolas suspects Matthew of being involved in the escape. What secret does Matthew hide about his involvement in the murders of the lawyer and banker? Anna is still grappling with the pain from the loss of Lefteris. She suspects Limnios of his murder, but cannot prove it unless Victoria, who worked with him, speaks out. Peter advises Anna to keep Issaris from continuing the public inquiry into Limnios. Lakis has however seen him together with the people that Peter is supposedly pursuing. Who is Minas preparing to kill? Will Nikolas go ahead with his dark plan to stop him?

Episode 60
Nikolas turns on Matthaios, who tries to make him suspicious of Victoria's dubious role. It is increasingly evident that Matthaios is affected by his mental instability. Issaris locates Limnios' car in an area very close to Lefteris' execution site and promises Anna that he will be able to prove his guilt. Peter explains to Lakis why he saw him with Matthaios, telling him about his secret surveillance, and asking for his understanding. Sofia badmouths Victoria to Nikolas, deeming her an inappropriate guardian of Stathis, but says she is sorry. However, Nikolas' trust in Victoria begins to falter. Nasia believes that Stathis has been annoyed with her, unaware of Minas' disturbing influence on him. Who will stop Matthaios’ insane plans? Who will be the next victim of the conflict with him?
